As our practice has developed and grown over the years we have always been conscious that our origins are firmly within the town of Dartmouth and that we should always maintain to be approachable and to provide quality in a professional service to all its residents and visitors. This means that we will always actively seek to take on whichever projects are brought into office, large or small, and will always approach an idea positively and try not to say no!

We encourage an opportunity to work on smaller scale domestic work that is so common place as a result of people living out their lives within properties that are very often highly regarded in terms of lifestyle choices that have been made by those individuals who chose to live in an around the wonderful south west. The brief can quite often be very simple but we understand the need to make changes and improvements to suit changing circumstances, small scale development opportunity or perhaps just the more playful notion of wanting to better a view or play with a space to improve the day to day quality of life.

As is our ethos overall, you will find we are committed to providing a personal service for individual clients as well as the wider building industry and feel strongly that this is aided by our location in the heart of the town from where we have a good base for our friendly team of staff to be on hand and available. Given the knowledge, contacts and experience within the wider context of the building industry we can offer simple, yet clear and informative advice and guide house owners through any necessary processes to achieve their desires.

However small the project we have a range of qualified staff whom can be used in conjunction with our management structure in order to meet your requirements at a cost that is reflective of the nature of the work to be undertaken. We believe we can offer an affordable and competitive service within all aspects of the architectural work that we undertake.

Our knowledge of local planning policy and our professional relationship with the local planning officers can be used to speed up and progress simple questions and house holder planning requirements. We are well versed with pre-application engagement of the planning department where required and would hope our relationship with the individuals in each authority aids as speedy a progression through the system as we are able to achieve.

We are all too aware that with small scale work, commitments and arrangements will quite often already have been made with local small scale contractors, friends and family who maybe are lined up to help and as such our commitment to try and work with your requirements maintain programme in order to limit disruption to family life will always be an important factor.

It is quite common that a project may well be underway before it is apparent that our input could be useful or is required and so we will always try to be as flexible as we can in tailoring what is required of us to suit specific projects/ budget and client requirements at whatever stage and whatever the scale of building work being proposed. We will be more than happy to meet and discuss as part of an initial and free consultation in order to identify where and if we can be of assistance so if in doubt just call for a chat first!
