This is an area of expertise which at its simplest is the mainstay to the start and development of virtually every project in some small way and yet at its most complex is used to shape the way in which people live and work within the context of the wider built environment that surrounds us.

We have a firm belief within the practice that design-lead proposals are key to successful place making for people.

Buildings describe places and both should be filled with activity and be pleasure to be in and as a practice we always seek to relate to the needs of the individual, group or place as client and look to assess current needs, aspirations and then opportunities in order for design to be informed and yet link seamlessly with the existing urban fabric of a place, specific building or perhaps lifestyle of an individual or group on a more domestic level.

It is often at these early stages of project inception and creation that there is a need to consider the wider context of project viability.

We have built up a wealth of contacts, building professionals and specialist consultants who can aid and support our creativity and inventiveness with economic, structural and statutory consideration in order to bring together all aspects of project viability and truly test overall opportunity and realistic potential for our clients.

Over the years we have worked with developers, town councils and many individuals and are proud to continue to have such an opportunity for a positive and considered impact on the built landscape and public spaces, not only in our local community but also the wider district and throughout the south west.
